Jackie Earle Haley was nominated for Oscar’s Best Supporting Actor in Little Children. I remember him from Bad News Bears and Breakin’ Away. Sometimes it seems that actors just seem to fall off the planet. One minute they’re everywhere then they’re nowhere. I went a little while back to see Night at the Museum and up popped Mickey Rooney. I would’ve bet money that he was stuffed and in a real museum somewhere. Started thinking of other actors and wondered what happened.

FYI...
Gillian garnered some acclaim last year in the U.K. (where she now lives I believe) with the miniseries "Bleak House".
Phoebe Cates is married to Kevin Kline and has been forever. Maybe his career is enough for both of them??? (Just a guess.)
Katharine Ross had a decent role in "Donnie Darko" (granted, that was a few years ago...).
As far as Debra Winger goes, check out the Rosanna Arquette-directed documentary "Searching for Debra Winger", which is mildly revealing.
Henry Winkler did some great stuff on "Arrested Development", and he had another series afterwards called "Out of Practice", but that didn't last too long.
Mark Hamill is the oddest of the bunch, though. I think he can always find ways to coast on Luke Skywalker, although I suspect he'd prefer not to.
Of course, a quick trip to IMDB can probably reveal a whole lot more (just check Hamill for instance), but it's usually fare that begs the question "Where did/does this play?"
