A GOOD DAY
*
It was a good day today. I helped my nephew move the last of his stuff into his new home. (I missed helping move the really heavy stuff. That happened on Saturday.) He is a first-time home buyer and it's all very cool.

When I got home, there were three messages on my answering machine. The first was from an old friend who had gotten word that I'd been trying to contact her. I called back and we got the chance to talk for a little while. It was really cool. I hope we get the chance to catch up more later in the week.Mel, in case you're reading this blog -- this pix is a few years old. It's the only one I have on the computer. I had it taken for my first book. The hair's a little grayer and shorter. I currently have a goatee to go with the mustache. And, as I said on the phone, I have about twenty extra pounds that I don't need. If you go to the Amazon.com website and punch in my name, you'll find my novels listed. Rebel Nation has some really nice reviews.

Sometimes friends slip away over the course of time. There are many reasons this happens. But the separation does not mean they are forgotten. And, sometimes if the stars are in alignment, the friends reconnect and the friendship begins again.

Nice. I'm glad you and your friend reconnected.
